Plastic fishing at Mentor IMC Group.  At Mentor we are committed to continually improving our Environmental Sustainability. We are committed to reducing our carbon emissions by 30% by 2030 while continuing to reduce our waste and energy consumption. ↘️

To help promote awareness within the company we have now implemented Mentor Environment Day and Mentor Environment Refresher Days throughout the year. We just celebrated our first Environment Day. The aim of this day was to raise awareness of the importance of recycling and reducing our carbon emissions, and to make the whole company aware of our aims for the year ahead regarding helping the environment and improving sustainability. ♻️

This was communicated to the company through a presentation which was given to the whole company and included a guest speaker from our waste management company who provided additional recycling information. During the presentation we provided our employees with canvas Mentor IMC Group tote bags and Mentor reusable water flasks to encourage our employees to be plastic free. After, as a company, we all took part in the Plastic Fishing Event where we sailed on the Thames in London on a boat made from recycled plastic bottles collecting plastic. ☑️

In total we collected 50 plastic bottles and 3.2kg of recyclable plastic. All the bottles we collected will go towards building their third boat. The event was a great success and we look forward to celebrating more Mentor Environment Day’s to raise awareness and to continue to contribute towards helping the environment in the future. 🍃

Our next Mentor Environment Day will be on April 22nd which also coincides with World Earth Day.
