DIRECTOR HSSE required by our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Permanent basis, located in Houston, TX.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
HSSE Leadership, Programs, and Brand
Cultural leader for building and protecting our Clients LNG health, safety, security, and environmental brand
Responsible for representing our Clients with customers, the LNG industry, partners, communities, employees, investors, and other stakeholders
Directs the development, implementation and maintenance of an overall health, safety, security, and environmental program for our Client.
Maintains a thorough understanding of HSSE best practices and regulatory requirements.
Actively participates and supports our Clients VPs, Directors, Managers, and Contractors in group and individual safety communications and recognition programs
Responsible for the development, implementation and management of all safety programs and procedures that minimize the frequency and severity of personal injuries and accidents of all types from the office to construction to operations
Participates in various HSSE associations with customers, contractors, and across our Clients companies
Provides leadership and assistance in all emergency and security situations
HSSE Review and Reporting
Responsible for the safety and industrial health regulatory review and reporting process for OSHA, and other regulatory bodies
Responsible for all safety and environmental records and integrated reporting for our Client, its contractors, and joint ventures
Works closely with our Clients compliance function to ensure adherence to all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations and guidelines mandated by federal, state and local governments
Reviews contractor HSSE plans and provides HSSE requirements and oversight for project development and EPC phases of projects
Performs or oversees HSSE audits and inspections. Responsible for the safety and industrial health audit process in determining compliance with safety rules, fire prevention programs, and safety and industrial health guidelines, regulations and legislation
Responsible for the system data analysis regarding accident and injury/illness reports, OSHA 300 weekly logs and OSHA 300A annual summaries and BLS reporting requirements of employee injuries and illnesses
Collaboration with Corporate, Security, Compliance and JV Operations
Advises, guides, counsels and makes recommendations on security for our Clients employees and its joint ventures in close coordination with the Asset Management organization and Joint Venture Operations
Supports Asset Management as requested to staff and stand-up permanent JV HSSE organizations
Working closely with the Corporate and Compliance functions, supports Compliance in ensuring compliance and positive relationship between the business and regulatory agencies
Advises, guides, counsels and makes recommendations on safety and industrial health issues and/or corporate policies involving employee safety, industrial health, and wellness
Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree safety or health related field and/or a minimum of 15+ experience in the LNG (preferred), oil & gas or closely related industry

Experienced in working with joint ventures, with EPC contractors, and LNG (preferred) and/or hydrocarbon operations
Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, as well as database systems utilized to track, analyze and report various safety related information
Houston Office location with travel to project sites
