[SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER] required by our client, an international construction Contractor, to be assigned on a Permanent basis, located in Canonsburg, PA

MAIN REQUIREMENTS
- Based out of Pennsylvania office. Extensive travel and possibility of staying on-site for extended period of times.
- Engineering degree preferred. Or construction management degree
- Experience with a heavy civil contractor. Geotechnical is not a must.
- Experience managing JV partners
- Experience managing subcontractors
POSITION SCOPE
- Provides overall management for multiple base business projects or runs one large complex project at a time.
- Proficient with bidding and job costing procedures
- Ability to make recommendations for project related decisions such as bidding, estimating and risk assessment
- Ability to meet with clients; create and deliver presentations; and negotiate contracts
- Ability to manage in-house and subcontracted engineering services
- Proven experience with managing client meetings; screening and evaluating of project opportunities; and creation of presentations concerning project work
- Experience with Joint Venture projects
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that all of clients' and OSHA safety regulations are met and enforced; bottom line responsibility for safety
- Assist in business development, risk assessment, bid preparation, selling and closing new work
- Assist in contract negotiation and oversees subcontractor procurement
- Oversee all aspects of a project in accordance with the Our clients' Project Management Manual
- Responsible for designs, submittals, material ordering, pre-job planning and scheduling
- Create and review job budgets, cost reports, forecasts and cash flows
- Primary contact for clients and subcontractors
- Manage A/R collections
- Coordinate, review and submit project change orders, extra work orders, and back charge documentation
- Analyze, develop and submit claims
- Coordinate with the Regional Manager and Risk Manager for support and overall strategy
- Ensure that all our clients' policies are followed (safety, quality, travel, drug testing, HR, etc.)
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Minimum 7 years of experience construction equipment, techniques, drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, and/or consulting geotechnical work
Physical Requirements:
- Lift, carry, pull and push at least 40 pounds
- Travel per the company travel policy, often overnight and away from home
