Project Controls Analyst - Planner / Schedule required by our client, an International Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Colorado, USA

POSITION SCOPE
It will be part of the Project Services team within the Rockies Assets. The candidate will be responsible for providing planning/scheduling support to the PM undertaking pipeline dead leg decommissioning. The role will build and maintain a schedule in Primavera with focus on abandonment of associated pipeline dead legs. The schedule will need to be built with logic ties to other Plug & Abandon (P&A) activities. The role will also provide scheduling support for all other pipeline projects as needed. The applicant needs to have Project Controls experience in scheduling and must excel in a collaborative team environment. The schedule, once built, will need to be updated weekly. Proficient level of experience working in Primavera is essential to carry out duties.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Build and maintain pipeline dead leg abandonment schedule that has logic ties to related activities for the DJ Basin and P&A activities
Conduct weekly schedule review meetings with stakeholders
Assist in scheduling for other projects when necessary
Ensure that schedule can integrate with cost accruals and forecasts
Work with PM and field supervisors to update schedule
Troubleshoot and recommend opportunities to plan for optimization and cost savings
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or related subject preferred
Required Qualifications
5+ years Project Controls Experience in scheduling
High level of knowledge and abilities scheduling in Primavera P6
Experience with MS Excel
Excellent communication skills
Team player
Ability to translate engineering, procurement, and work execution to a realistic schedule
Ability to work and adapt in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
Experience working in construction planning or the Oil & Gas industry a plus
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management or another related discipline
Strong experience in planning and scheduling large programs or projects
