Facilities Engineer

FACILITIES ENGINEER required by our client, to be hired on a permanent basis in Midland, Texas.  
       
POSITION SCOPE      
       
This position is responsible for providing facilities engineering and project management support for the safe and efficient construction of oil and gas facilities. Position level commensurate with experience and skill set  
         
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS   
 
  • This position is responsible for providing facilities engineering and project management support for the safe and efficient construction of oil and gas facilities. Position level commensurate with experience and skill set
  • Leads team efforts to maintain the CO2 EHS goal of "Target 0”
  • Identify and schedule outside training courses to advance technical skills and development
  • Completes facilities engineering and project management assignments of variable scope and complexity
  • Supervise construction crews
  • Leads engineering projects related to gas plants, pipelines, gathering systems, compressor facilities and other production/processing related facilities in CO2 flood assets
  • Works with CO2 flood asset production and operations teams to develop project scope and cost estimates
  • Leads procurement efforts related to facilities projects listed above
  • Develop and utilize tools for cost tracking from project inception through completion
  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on project execution and financial status
  • Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Petroleum, Electrical or Chemical preferred) from an accredited institution.
  • 1-5 years of engineering or project management experience in the oil and gas and/or pipeline industry
  • Experience applying industry and/or company standard techniques to provide recommendations for solutions to problems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • Experience with process simulation software preferred (HYSYS, Unisim, ChemCAD, ProMax, etc.)
