Marine and Helicopter Coordinator

MARINE AND HELICOPTER COORDINATOR required by our client, to be hired on a contract basis, located in Taiwan.

POSITION SCOPE      
 
  • Perform safe coordination of all activities offshore, including monitoring and tracking of resources.
  • Ensure co-operation with and support to project execution and external authorities.
 
 
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES     
 
  • Manage assets within marine and helicopter coordination
  • Decide on safety issues in relation to offshore operations
  • Propose changes to user requirements, budget and overall project time plan
  • Personnel Tracking - whereabouts of people working on asset projects offshore at all times
  • Marine Traffic Control - access to the windparks according to custody, timing, workscope
  • Airspace coordination - safe flight operations to & from the windparks
  • Monitoring of weather & marine operations on the windpark
  • Emergency Response & Emergency response planning
  • Surveillance & vessel avoidance
  • Liaison & Advisory - Documentation / HSE / Marine Inspection / Helicopter Operators
  • Statutory Reporting - Pollution / Lighting / Drifting buoys / Vessel Infringement
 
Tasks      
 
  • Coordinate and complete assigned offshore and onshore activities
  • Perform monitoring and tracking of offshore activities
  • Perform marine and air traffic control of assigned offshore sites and activities
  • Perform surveillance of wind farm avoidance systems and handle malfunctions
  • Perform communication with offshore parties by means of marine VHF, aeronautical VHF, Tetra UHF, satellite phone and admin communication measures
  • Monitor offshore activities in order to secure compliancy with site regulations and safety levels
  • Liaise with and support relevant parties in case of emergencies
  • Perform 1st line of support with Offshore Management System
  • Contribute to development/review of relevant and suitable documentation
  • Daily corresponding with relevant parties
  • Update and report in accordance with activities
 
 
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS      
 
  • Ship/Naval officer with a bachelor's degree level or similar technical education, alternatively an aviation background in offshore environments
  • Logistic Coordinator with a bachelor's degree
  • Experience within the maritime and/or offshore sector
