NLNG Key Account Manager

NLNG KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER required by our client, to be hired on a permanent basis, located in Lagos, Nigeria.

POSITION SCOPE
 
  • Manage P & L in the Oil & Gas sector, precisely in LNG. Being the focal point of NLNG to develop DNB's Business and Profitability.
 
 
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Acquire intimate understanding of customer's strategic needs, goals and objectives, and demonstrate ability to consistently translate it into effective advice toward outcome-based solutions
  • Build high level customer intimacy and client relationships at all levels of the organisation by ensuring a seat at the table at customer's HQ and all other customer's facilities
  • Become the customer trusted advisor and foster a transition from a transactional to a partnership-based relationship, leveraging the full range of services from the Client.
  • Responsible for the customer's preservation and growth of the assigned Account(s) in the region and globally and own commercial KPI's for these account(s).
  • Provide feedback to the product company teams on customer wants and needs, new service needs modifications and help them develop sound business cases
  • Set up and lead Key Account Specific Business Forums across DBN organisation, partnering with all leaders across the different functions
  • Partner with Project team and company leaders to develop full year plans for assigned Account(s)
  • Evaluate potential partnership opportunities and draft business plan to review with internal executive leadership
  • Facilitate engagement of clients
  • Interpret and understand contractual commitments
  • Lead / Participate in cross functional teams and projects to achieve account and business goals
  • Utilise all available management information and commercial excellence tool to fully exploit business opportunities
  • Mastery of HSE standards and practices
  • Technical Effort Management - 7+ years' experience in Customer Success and/or Account Management
  • Knowledge in LNG
  • Experience in Oil and Gas Sector
  • Managing a P & L
  • Dynamic personality able to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences at all levels of a business
  • Confident communication (written and oral) skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with all levels of internal and external organisations
  • A focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation setting and completion of planned deliverables
  • Business acumen, sound decision making, analytical and organisational skills in a fast-paced environment; a consultative approach to managing complex client relationships
  • Project and program management experience; knowledge of key concepts including phases, plans, deliverables, scope and tasks
  • Ability to prioritise multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables on multiple projects as well as internal obligations
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with contracts and contract negotiations
  • Project and program management experience; knowledge of key concepts including phases, plans, deliverables, scope and tasks
  • Communication - Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
  • Holds regular status meetings with the Project departments.
  • Keeps Project team well informed of changes within the organisation and general corporate news.
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organised presentations.
  • Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

  • 10+ years of experience in Oil and Gas industry-related engineering, including 5+ years in customer / client management
