Automation & Instrumentation Engineer
AUTOMATION AND INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER required by our client, to be hired on a permanent basis located in Saudi Arabia.
Industry Sector: Electrical Infrastructures.
POSITION SCOPE
- Acts as the Automation and Instrumentation expert in the Business Unit
- Maintain, troubleshoot, modify, and propose improvement on Substation (400kV)
Reports to: Business Unit Manager
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Automation System (SAS/DCS):
Scheduling and Management of Maintenance Team and activities, in strict compliance with Company QHSE policies: Scheduling/Management of maintenance activities and associated resources for the Substation Automation maintenance scope ‐ Routine / Preventive Maintenance ‐
- Corrective maintenance follow‐up:
Troubleshooting, defaults analysis
Modifications
Preparation of variation order requests
- Proactive proposals for improvement
- Methods, and reporting: ‐
Implement / improve maintenance procedures ‐
Updating of Field Service requests management software, for automation
activities ‐ Produce key indicators reporting ‐ Propose new methodologies and technologies to improve performance / competitivity
Develop and Implement Control System / Instrumentation projects from design to
commissioning for industrial and infrastructures (Electricity/Water) sectors: DCS, SCADA, etc…
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Automation Engineer with minimum 15 years' experience in both Industrial (DCS/SCADA/PLC) and Electrical Infrastructures (SAS) automation fields
- Experience with field instrumentation and actuators.
- Highly interested in new technologies: IoT, Data Analytics
- 3 years' experience as technical support to commercial development: preparing technical offers, including resources requirements for implementation
Other Requirements:
- Fluent in English -Arabic is an advantage
- Ability to work within a multi‐cultural team
- Proactive and flexible in job assignments
