Tender Manager

TENDERING MANAGER required by our client to be hired on a permanent basis, located in Nigeria.  
   
 
INDUSTRY SECTOR: Oil & Gas
   
POSITION SCOPE  
 
  • Establish, monitor and negotiate technical, commercial and financial offers in response to the calls for tenders from clients
 
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES  
   
Organize and coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial offers  
 
  • Analyse bidding documents,
  • Participate in the response strategy with the General Manager (partnerships, outsourcing)
  • Coordination of tender preparation process, specifically ensuring that necessary advice is received in connection with tax, insurance, contractual, legal and treasury
  • Suggest any variants or technical alternatives
  • Ensure commercial operational excellence is implemented
  • Participate in site visits and meetings with Clients
  • Encrypt the projects concerned by the Invitations to Tender with establishments cost sheets and with evaluation of technical and financial risks
  • Prepare and present each file of Offers to the Management of the Company
 
Monitor technical and commercial negotiations  
 
  • Participate in all technical-commercial negotiations until the signing of the contract in close coordination with the General Managers
  • Establish tender modification files following requests for clarification from Clients
  • In case of success and award of the Contract to the Company, ensure the transfer to the Project team of all tender documents (including revisions)
 
 
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS  
   
Basic skills  
 
  • Multidisciplinary technical knowledge
  • Knowledge and control of projects in an Engineering or Construction Company in the industrial field
  • Mastery of the management modules of a project (expression of needs, planning, specifications ...)
  • Knowledge and control of statistical tools and cost estimation methods
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team
  • Technical analysis capacity (incl. proposal of variants)
  • Ability to organize and follow the planning of an Offer
  • Ability to argue and convince

Qualifications  
   
Academic qualifications or equivalent  
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Preferably Electrical or Mechanical
 
Experience  
 
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in a similar industry field (estimation-related).
