Consent Compliance Manager

CONSENT COMPLIANCE MANAGER, required by our client, to be hired on a contract basis, located in Glasgow.  
   
INDUSTRY SECTOR: Renewables, Offshore Wind Energy
   
POSITION SCOPE  
 
  • Reporting to Consent Compliance coordinator and Head of Development Department on all environmental matters.
  • Provide a professional and timely service to the Offshore Wind Farm project.
  • Inform and advise Consent Compliance team on all environmental issues.
  • Maintain environmental planning & budget.
  • Suggest mitigations for the risks identified.
 
 
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES  
 
  • Ensure the compliance to the permits delivered to the Offshore Wind Farm Project.
  • Preparation of monitoring plans and protocols.
  • Contractors consultation and offer analysis.
  • Deliver licences and permits for the Project (technical campaigns, environmental campaigns, O&M port, etc.)
  • Meetings with local third parties and statutory bodies.
  • Follow-up of various topics.
  • Benchmarking.
  • Synthesis/notes.
 
 
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS  
 
  • Experience: 5 years minimum.  
  • Educated to degree level in Marine Environment discipline.  
  • Working knowledge in French environmental legislation associated with construction (onshore and offshore), marine and offshore projects.
  • Good report writing, presentation skills and ability to summarize key parameters and drivers impacting the work scope.
  • Experience of working in highly skilled teams.
  • Pro-active and diligent approach.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with a range of business functions and consultants.
  • Ability to tight deadlines.  
  • Innovative and creative thinking.
  • Problem solving - dealing with conflicting requirements.
  • Able to adapt a work in a fast-paced working environment and responsive to change.
  • Flexible to travel around the France (in Brittany region especially).
  • Fluent in French and English.
