LIQUEFIED NATURAL GAS READY FOR OPERATIONS ADVISOR required by our Client a midstream natural gas infrastructure company, to be assigned on a Permanent basis, located in Houston, TX.
POSITION SCOPE
Responsible for preparing a fully integrated, resource loaded and leveled Ready for Operations (RFO) schedule. Work with
operating company functional leads to organize all required activities necessary to function during the mobilization period and
ensure launching of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for the projects. Prepares progress reports, readiness
dashboards, S-Curves, determine critical paths to ensure RFO plan completion in a timely manner. Performs day-to-day contact
and communication with all departments leads to be able to follow up and track progress against results-based metrics.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute assigned RFO activities in accordance with the RFO plan.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed activities required for on-time completion of RFO activities.
Monitor the project schedule and alert team members of critical paths, slippage or potential delays.
Recognize and report RFO plan problems in a timely manner to effectively resolve them.
Support RFO Manager(s), Engineers, Advisors and Supervisors (Operations, Owner, and E&C Contractor) to clarify issues regarding the RFO activities and milestones
Develop working relationships with Owner, Operations, and E&C contractor personnel to seek out opportunities that will add value to each job completed.
Create and report tracking metrics to determine the progress of the RFO plan and use lessons learned to continuously improve.
Support functional leads timely execution of milestones with a continued emphasis towards lead time reduction.
Monitor RFO activities to identify and resolve schedule impacts and conflicts.
Ensure that RFO plan priorities and compliance requirements are communicated.
Observe all regulatory codes, corporate values, (safety and health, environmental, quality and business continuity) plans and procedures as dictated by the information management system (IMS) of the facility.
Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree Engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred 5+ Working in the construction and commissioning field.
3+ Performing and planning operational planning and scheduling for a large scale project(s).
Ability to develop fully integrated P6 schedules (Version 16 or higher on a network or stand-alone basis) which are resource loaded and leveled.
Strong coordination, facilitation, and organizational skills, attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Communicates efficiently in English, able to hold review and update meetings with good verbal and written communication skills, and comfortable with making presentations to field level and management level personnel on multiple issues as part of the RFO effort.
Training on environmental, safety, operations and security procedures. Intermediate
Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with management, co-workers, contractors and field personnel.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret scientific / technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Intermediate
Understands the interface between Engineering, Construction and Operations to be able to recognize trends that may impact planned Operations work and main project milestones.
Advanced
This position requires the use of many industry specific computer planning applications, most of which can be learned on the job, but the candidate should, at a minimum, be proficient in the use of project for windows,
Outlook, Word and Excel and have an aptitude to learn other programs quickly.
Spanish fluency is a plus.
