A TSO Interface Manager / Offshore Engineer is required to work for a renewable energy operator and assist with the delivery of offshore substation fabrication. This is a permanent position based in Belgium.
Responsibilities:
The Offshore Engineer ensure coordination and smooth development of the works by Company’s partner, observing at any moment the stipulations set in the Cooperation Service Agreement signed with them and surveillance of their works in order to make sure that the agreement is observed by them as well.
The Engineer will liaise with personnel at site in order to assure the smooth development of their works, acting as intermediaries between them and Project team or any other Company Contractor
The Engineer will provide advice on construction specifics and testing solutions / risk levels and commercial agreements
The Engineer will carry out the Site inspection with Project Site Team at the arrival about the Free-Issued Equipment provided by Project
The Engineer will control, manage and assist IEC/SP Engineering and Design Teams with all the Site Queries raised during the fabrication activities
Requirements
Degree and professional qualification in relevant engineering discipline (Master Engineer or BEng –Naval, Industrial, Electrical Engineering)
Proven 5 years of Site experience on Construction Management works, for Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas, Shipbuilding or Power Industry.
Proven Site experience on substation, HV & MV Electrical installation works, cable routing, instruments, connections, electrical devices, fixations, electrical cabinets, etc. for Offshore Wind, Oil & Gas, Shipbuilding or Power Industry.
Proven experience in contract management. Experience in Construction/ delivery Contracts
Cultural Awareness, Prove International Assignment or similar
Familiar with Offshore Design Codes for Fabrication, testing and design of offshore structure (DNV) and IEC 60092 Electrical installations in ships
