Section Engineer (SCL) – Cross Passages required by Balfour Beatty VINCI (a long-established joint venture) for HS2 Project, to be assigned on a permanent basis, located in Ufton, Warwickshire

POSITION SCOPE
To work across the Tunnelling team at Long Itchington Wood site, focusing on SCL and Crosspassages.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare / review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection and Test Plans.
Overseeing the Spray Concrete Lining (SCL) and Reinforced Concrete (RC) and Crosspassages.
Managing the Crosspasssage excavation.
Manage team of SCL Engineers and Site engineers.
Supervise works to ensure it is carried out safely.
Manage the monitoring of shotcrete lining thickness through inspection of post shift as-builts / visiting the works regularly throughout the shift.
Maintain high personal safety and environmental standards in accordance with company policies and report any standards on the site which are considered by you as inadequate.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

Long Itchington Wood. Circa 18month. The team will then move to Bromford for second tunnel circa.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

Be degree qualified or have relevant professional experience in either Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or, similar) and have, or be studying towards a professional qualification such as MICE/FGS
Hold a valid CSCS card.
Have experience working on Crosspassages and SCL.
