PROJECT ENGINEER (UAE) required by our Client, an Oil and Gas Operator, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Dubai, UAE.

Report to: Reports to the Pipeline Package Lead
The job holder will report to the Pipeline Package Lead to provide engineering and technical support at the fabrication yard during the engineering, procurement, onshore fabrication, testing, and load-out of the rigid and flexible pipeline structures, jumpers, foundations, piles, and installation aids by the Contractor as part of the EPCI scope of work for the Mozambique LNG Project.
Supporting the Pipe Package Lead by overseeing all onsite engineering related issues, activities, and queries at the fabrication yard.
Coordinating and liaising with the Houston Team for all engineering issues and technical Queries.
Assisting the Company Site Rep by resolving engineering and technical issues during fabrication
Reviewing and approving as-built documentation and dossiers/certificates required for load out and shipment.
Liaising with the Company Provided Items (CPI) equipment delivery team and assisting with logistics for the CPI items (Valves, connectors, etc.).
Attending HAZIDs, HIRAs, risk assessments, fabrication reviews, and any engineering/technical meetings at the fabrication site
Technical oversight of FAT and SIT activities at the fabrication site HSE roles & responsibilities
Proven track record demonstrating safe working practices at fabrication yards
Promote safety culture with the team, with the Contractor, and with all Sub-Contractors.
Present Safety Moments during meetings
Attend Project HSSE meetings, trainings, audits and inspections as needed
Report to the Pipeline Package Lead
Support the Company Site Representative
Provide onsite Technical and Engineering support for all fabrication activities
Assistance to Pipeline Package Lead on ad-hoc tasks related to line pipe and coating packages including review Weld Procedures, Non-Destructive Testing reports, Manufacturing Record Books, etc.
Anticipate and identify fabrication issues,
Coordinate with the Pipeline Package Lead, Subject Matter Experts, and discipline engineers to resolve all onsite fabrication issues.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
BSc or Msc in engineering discipline
Fluent in the English language
Knowledge of Arabic language a plus
Offshore subsea equipment fabrication is mandatory
Offshore installation experience is preferred
Working knowledge of structure fabrication, materials, welding, inspection, coating, testing as well as Oil & Gas Industry standards and codes
Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and fabrication drawings
Ability to get along well with others in an international and multi-cultural environment
Willing and able to travel to North America and Europe to attend meetings as needed
Able to consistently meet deadlines
General knowledge of Subsea systems, equipment, processes, industry best practices
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Site fabrication and offshore installation experience.
