SENIOR EPC/I DIRECTOR, OFFSHORE WIND required by our Client, to be assigned on a Contract basis, located in Houston, TX.
POSITION SCOPE
To help win and deliver successful large, complex EPCI offshore wind development projects.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Successfully deliver large complex EPC/I offshore wind projects
Overall fiscal, contractual, quality and technical management of the project
Overall project management through the engineering, procurement and construction phases
Actively manage the customer, scope and change orders
Provide technical stewardship during the engineering, procurement and construction phases
Actively participates in team selection/appointment of key resources for projects
Establish and manage all global integrated project delivery centers
Provide assistance in developing the procurement plan and identification of key suppliers and equipment selection
Provide technical and commercial review and assist in negotiations of all major contracts, JV's, partnerships etc.
Establish and maintain the quality control, health, safety, environmental and security standards for the project
Establish and manage the project digital plan
Identify and establish all support services that are required to successfully deliver the project
Establish all Project Reporting requirements and deliver weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
Establish and manage the project schedule, cost and resources
Manage the construction partner, any sub-contractors and execution through sail-away
Identify and select T&I contractor and manage through installation, commissioning and hand-over
Provide hand-over and support to the O&M team
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION
Undergraduate Degree in engineering, project management, construction management or equivalent
20+ years professional experience in the offshore energy industry
Extensive project delivery/project governance experience, including EPC, lump sum
Extensive offshore platform EPC delivery experience from FEED through start-up
Offshore wind farm development experience with Offshore Substation knowledge
Strong commercial acumen and experience in alternative commercial contracting models/risk profiles and project scopes/phases
Experience of successfully engaging with clients, senior management and other key stakeholders
Superior communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to maintain calm and effective interactions during stressful situations
Motivational leadership style with ability to develop high performance culture
Excellent organizational skills demonstrated by clear and effective project management and executive level reporting that ensures timely action and decision making
Ability to mitigate risks effectively and proactively through positive decision making
