The ESP Engineering Manager position has a dual managerial and technical nature. The project's mission is to execute the design plan within the scheduled deadlines and with the expected scope and cost. On the one hand, it must carry out the external management of the design, establishing relationships with the other participants in the project and cross-function areas, both to define the planning and scope of the design and to receive the necessary information from them and also provide them with the results of the design process they need to perform their own tasks; must also act as a representative of the design team towards the person responsible for the Package. On the other hand, it must carry out the internal management of the design team, ensuring that each of the members knows the planning and scope of their work, continuously monitoring the work, implementing the necessary corrective measures and favoring the feeling of belonging and a good work environment. Definition of the concept and fundamental characteristics of the platform in the initial design phase as a basis for subsequent development, taking the advice of the Head of its section (Design Coordination), as well as taking into account the particularities of the project and considering the requirements of other areas (Health and Safety, Operation and Maintenance, Installation …) . Lead and coordinate the development of the conceptual design to be used for the bidding phase of installation shipyards and ships, and later for the detailed design within the manufacturing contract. In both works, it’s the ESP Engineering Manager’s responsibility to supervise and coordinate the work of the Design Team for this purpose to ensure compliance with the scope, deadlines and budget of the defined plan.
