Electrical Technician – Loop Checker

Loop Check Specialist required by our client, for a paper mill plant, to be assigned on a CONTRACT basis, located in Dusseldorf – Germany
Duration: 6 to 8 Weeks on-going
POSITION SCOPE
Loop checking for pre-Commissioning activity initiated after installation of instruments in the field and carry out the instrument loop checks between installed field instrument and respective control system i.e., PLC or DCS.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of safety procedures in an industrial environment
- Understands equipment data sheets and drawings including loop diagrams, wiring diagrams and P&IDs
- Knowledge of pneumatics, basic AC/DC circuitry and related test equipment
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of process measurement including temperature, pressure, flow and level
- Capable of setup and calibration of instrumentation and valves
- Performs loop checks and troubleshoots discrete and analog signals using testing equipment (e.g., HART communicator, etc.)
- Supports system commissioning from the control room console (Emerson)
- Knowledgeable of control system architecture including hardware, software, instrumentation and networking equipment
- Basic understanding of analog and batch control
- Loop-shooting skills, ability to troubleshoot control wiring, etc.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
- SCC or similar
- SFS6002 Certificate
EXPERIENCE / QULAIFICATIONS
- Electrical/Electronic background, Instrument commissioning Technicians
- Must hold European passport
- Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience working within paper mill industries, Power Plants
- Strong preference to be based in Germany, close to Dusseldorf / Duisburg
