Electrical Control / Deputy SAP required by our Client in the Renewables Sector to be assigned on a permanent basis, located in St Brieuc, France

POSITION SCOPE
The Opérateur électrique will during the O&M phase supervise any daily work on board the Offshore Substation acting as Platform Master – ensuring supervision of contractors, managing equipment isolations in the different rooms, controlling the auxiliary systems – HVAC, fire fighting, diesel generators, … The responsibility will be as well to act as Chargé de Consignation for the HV electrical operation of the Offshore Substation and the Wind Farm grid.
During the pre-operational phase, the Opérateur électrique will be working alongside the commissioning team to get firsthand knowledge on the plant and procedures, as well as leading the preparation of the O&M phase from a transmission and site assets electrical O&M point of view.
The work will be performed in 14 days offshore rotations on board a service operation vessel which will deploy the personnel into the offshore substation.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
The individual will during the pre-operational phases:
Join the commissioning team to support the commissioning phase and gain electrical authorizations up to 225kV under the client's EMSRs.
During the operational phase:
Act as Chargé de Consignation for all works for the OSS (Offshore substation) and for other works on the wind farm array cables grid.
Organise and execute HV switching, isolation, earthing, identification of the point of work and issue of safety documentation duties on HV networks up to 225 kV.
Prepare switching schedules for maintenance tasks, installation work, fault location and repair where required.
Coordinate and supervise contractors performing maintenance on the offshore substation.
Manage all systems in the Offshore Substation – HVAC, firefighting, diesel generators, etc.
Perform, update, and maintain site work risk assessments.
Review third party contractor risk assessments and method statements.
Coordinate offshore the team of BoP electrical technicians to perform troubleshooting on the Offshore Substation.
Prepare periodic maintenance reports.

Manage O&M activities for offshore substation, inter array cables.
Manage and coordinate service contractors.
Chargé de consignation on HV networks up to 225kV.
Coordinate with Control Room, Electrical Operations Manager and Deputies the daily works.
Prepare, plan and manage switching operations.
Interface with grid operator.
The position will be performed in 14 days offshore rotations and will require staying on board a service operation vessel.
The position will require ‘on call’ duties to enable client with 24/7 coverage for obligations with grid operator including response times to grid operator.

KEY DIMENSIONS
Responsible for the safety of personnel operating under client HV switching operation procedures prepared and issued.
Execute electrical operations at a site consisting of 62 turbines and an offshore substation.
Coordinate contractors – up to 10 people per day.
Coordinate and supervise Offshore Operations and Maintenance activities to ensure the highest production/availability.
Monitor third party contractors to ensure compliance with regulations.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
BAC + 2 – Electrical /Electrotechnique
Fluent in French and English
Experience in operation & maintenance of power plants and/or networks.
Experience in planning and executing High Voltage operations.
