Cross Passages Shift Manager (Sub Agent) (SCL) required by Balfour Beatty VINCI (a long established joint venture) for HS2 Project, to be assigned on a permanent basis, located in Ufton, Warwickshire
POSITION SCOPE
To provide Management, leadership and control of a team comprising Section Engineers, Site Engineers, focusing on SCL and Concrete activities.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with designer to resolve technical issues
- Produces a fully resourced stage programme in the accepted format / software
- Understands cost and value
- Drafts correspondence to sub-contractors, suppliers and Client
- Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity, including managing others in this regard.
- Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
- Excellent team player, able to work competently and independently without continuous supervision.
- Strong communication skills with solution orientated approach to issue resolution
- Track record of solution orientated approach to issue resolution
- Understands the Organisational Business Management Systems and processes
- Able to produce a fully resourced stage programme in the accepted format / software
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
- Long Itchington Wood. Circa 18month. The team will then move to Bromford for second tunnel circa.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
- Civil Engineering experience in SCL and Tunnels
- Holds a valid CSCS
- Has a UK driving licence
- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
