CONTRACT & PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST required by our Client within oil and gas industry (OPERATOR), to be assigned on a contract basis, located in London, UK.

Duration:           (12 months on-going)

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Procurement & Contracts Leadership
  • Implementation of Company’s procurement Policies, Processes and Procedures
  • Mentor/Advise London Project and EG Supply Chain team on contracts/procurement best practices.
  • Drafting of Contracts
  • The CPS shall be capable of drafting commercial agreements for the provision of services and supply of goods.
  • The CPS shall be capable and experienced in the negotiation of T&Cs for Oil Industry (Master Service Agreements & Commercial Agreement) contracts.
  • Contracts Analysis and Reports
  • The CPS shall be able to thoroughly analyze different type of contracts.
  • The CPS shall also be able to extract and insert specific clauses to suit the package requirements.
  • Sourcing Event Administration
  • The CPS shall issue & manage different types of sourcing events including RFQs, Tenders, Direct Negotiations
  • The CPS shall coordinate sourcing activities with the support of other departments, HSE, Operations, etc.
  • The CPS shall be familiar with SAP and able to raise PR and PO for approval, as well as liaise with Supply chain and legal for registration of vendors.
  • Customer and Supplier Relationship Management
  • The CPS shall actively build and maintain relationships with internal clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Key Working Relations to Maintain
  • Reporting to project services lead in London
  • Be the main focal point between London Project team and EG Supply Chain team, legal and other departments

 
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in upstream oil and gas industry, in procurement, contract formulation and negotiation, contract management.
  • Proven experience of negotiating contracts, preferably in offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Good understanding of significant legal and commercial issues within supply chain.
  • International exposure within an Oil and Gas contracts and procurement environment.
  • Experienced in use of SAP for procurement related activities
  • Degree level qualification
  • Preference for additional SCM related qualification, eg. CIPS, MBA
