CAD ENGINEER TECHNICIANis required by our Client, to be assigned on a Permanent basis located in Bristol, UK. This is a hybrid position – 3 days a week in office
POSITION SCOPE
The candidate will be supporting our client’s Engineering Department with a primary focus on the delivery of our client’s Electrical Design Scopes for HPC.
Under the authority of the UK Technical Manager (line manager), the candidate will be operationally working for our client’s Lead Engineer(s) and Team Leader supervision.
The candidate oversees the creations and modifications of the following deliverables. The candidate must ensure the respect of the technical requirements, the high-quality levels expected within the nuclear industry as well as the deadlines.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Go through the E3D 3D Model
Manage both internal and external interfaces
Ensure defined solutions are adequate with actual 3D model situations, raising queries and supporting in finding supplementary solutions where required
Have a strong attention to details
This role might suit a candidate such as an engineering graduate as their first experience or an experienced CAD Engineer/Technician.
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
General and Technical Background:
3D/2D CAD knowledge (essential)
3D/2D CAD Software working experience (desirable)
Construction Engineering and Building Services interest (desirable)
Engineering Diploma/Degree or at least 2 years’ experience CAD operating (essential)
Specific knowledge of either electrical, mechanical, or structural engineering (essential)
Heavy industry large project experience (desirable)
Hard skills:
AutoCAD 2D user (desirable)
Microsoft Office Pack user (essential)
3D Review tools Navisworks or similar user (desirable)
PDMS 3D and DRAW user (AVEVA E3D) (desirable)
Soft Skills:
Interpersonal skills, analytical and synthetic skills.
Good organisational, writing, and oral expression skills in English are essential for the realisation of the activities of document production, steering and interfaces with the various correspondents.
Autonomy while comfortable working as part of an MDT (multi-disciplinary team), ability to anticipate difficulties and able to balance conflicting priorities.
Ability to work under pressure and to meet commitments and deadlines.
