WAREHOUSE STOREKEEPER required by our Client in the Renewable Energy sector to be assigned on a contract basis, located in New Bedford, MA

DURATION         12 months (with possible extension)  

POSITION SCOPE

  • Performs tasks related to the reception, storage, and release of materials.
  • Fully proficient in warehousing and inventory, he contributes to projects and initiatives, influences at the site level, and determines and executes operational standards and processes within his defined area of responsibility.
  • Good understanding of how the team’s own work integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
  • Have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
  • Solve problems in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
  • Consult more senior team members for issues outside of defined guidelines/parameters.
  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be necessary to lead a junior team.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
During the transition period to the final warehouse on Martha’s Island, all operations must be secured in the temporary warehouse located on the peninsula (New Bedford).
As the Warehouse Storekeeper, Offshore Wind, you will:

  • Follow all EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) practices always, follow defined procedures and comply with requirements.
  • Manage reception and deliveries of the tools and materials at our warehouse. This includes:
  • Physically receive items that come from suppliers / forwarders and move to stock locations.
  • ERP updating, managing stocking conditions, and knowing what is where (tools, electrical material, chemicals…)
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of all parts both incoming / outgoing.
  • Control the stock and inform planning and sourcing team of availability.
  • Items count and report as per cycle count or physical inventory activities.
  • Organize, manage, and optimize the storage of all the tools, parts of the warehouse to ensure their good location and a correct operation of the installation.
  • Prepare the material orders necessary for the project’s maintenance operations, needs defined by the project team (operations and fulfillment) and make them available according to the project schedule.
  • If needed, support to manage the re-certification, calibration, or verifications of all tools for which a certification is applicable (lifting tools, lifting accessories, torque tools) so that the tool can be used for the next project.
  • Communicates and works together with people from the business unit.
  • Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

Mandatory Requirements

  • Experience of working in warehouses.
  • PC knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • ERP/WMS knowledge and experience
  • Forklift & Stacker License
